Return Policy

One of our highest priorities to ensure that you are satisfied with our goods and services. We understand that you may occasionally need to return a product to us. It's okay.

If you want to make a exchange or return, just email us at within 14 days of receiving the item. In your email, please including the following:

  • Your original order number,
  • The item(s) that you want to return,
  • The condition of the item, whether the item(s) is damaged, used, or unused,
  • An image(s) of the product (optional, but can speed things along),
  • The reason for return, and
  • What type of reimbursement you'd like. We can either exchange your item, issue a store credit, or issue a refund to the original payment method.

Once we have received the email, we will review and send further instructions for sending the item(s) back to our warehouse.

Refund Shipping
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, please indicate so in the email as described above. Depending on where you live, the time it may take time for your exchanged product to reach you

Gift Cards and Digital Products
Please note that gift cards and digital products (ex. downloadable software) cannot be returned.

Sale, Used, or B Grade Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately sale, used, or B Grade items cannot be refunded.

Unused pens or nibs can be returned for a full refund of your purchase price, as long as they are in the original condition that they were received and include all original packaging (such as the pen case, warranty papers, cartridges and converters, etc.)

Pens that have been dipped or filled can be returned for a refund of the purchase price less 20%, issued as store credit, as long as they are in a condition that can be resold. Limited Edition and Special Order pens are not eligible to be returned if they have been inked or dipped.

Other Items
We cannot accept any of the following items if they’ve been used:

    • bottled ink,
    • ink cartridges,
    • ink samples,
    • sealing wax sticks,
    • notebooks, or
    • stationery.

    However, it may be advantageous for you to post your 'lightly used' items on one of the many online pen sales forums, such as FPN.

    Refund Processing
    cohobbyist inc. aims to process refunds as soon as possible. Please allow up to two to three weeks for us to process your refund once returns have been received. We cannot be held responsible for delays caused by mail or credit card companies.
